Okay, so I've not gotten the downloads back up yet. It
seems that I over-estimated what my new connection
can handle. I'm out looking for a new host again so
I can get all the wonderful downloadable booty up and
available again.
Meantime, I've given up and installed professional blogin'
software. Also, there've been a few changes ye olde navbar, but
everything is still available - just maybe through a
new link. The "cool stuff" item wraps up a bunch of old
items in an effort to tidy up the navigation.
I'll also be upgrading the photo gallery software soon,
so expect big things.

I've made a move to a nice new server and new ISP.
Welcome to it. In the short term, the downloads
(movies, etc) are not fully functional, so don't be
thinking I don't care - I'll have everything running
happily again shortly.

I thought not. However, we have proof! First of all, check out our new logo!
Xen0fex re-did it, and we think it looks pretty sa-weet. Also, the blog that
ol' cw is doing has a comments section. Pretty impressive for a site that went
without pretty much any updates for a year! Of course, who knows if this
frenzied level of industriousness will continue... oh, who am I kidding -
everyone knows it won't.

Whoa - did you see that? Our beloved cheezy.net just got a face-lift
AND some new content/functionality. There's a blog now being written
by le grand fromage himself. The bets are all over the place on how
long this new hairbrained scheme will last, however. We predict long
odds. Let us know what you think of the new
look & feel. Oh, I just noticed that it's been almost exactly a
year since the last news update. LOL - man, we are slackers!

D00d. CW just wrote a script that copies/renames/orders Winamp playlist
files so that you can play them in that order on car and other
non-alphabetic MP3 decks. Check it out under

Woohoo! The impossible has happened: we have put Humpty Dumpty together
again! And we didn't even have all the kings horses and men for help!
Everything's running again, and another oddity is that we have updated the
news section twice within a month!! Wow! But that's not all - for all you
Brocketeers, there's a new link posted for The Mog's Anti-PC website!
Seems he ran afowl of a pro-PC ISP... ;)

Due to complications with some security update patches applied Friday PM,
we are having some "issues" with the server. We are working hard to have
everything back up to full functionality ASAP, but have no ETA for this.
If you encounter errors, it is likely we just haven't fixed everything yet.
Keep checking back - we'll post again when everything is back up.

Wow!! Seattle reels under the onslaught of an earthquake rated 6.8, and we
have the video for you! We've added 2 clips to our
movies section filmed by folks with cameras earlier today. Not a bad little
haul! ;) And, of course, our Seattle-based servers managed to stay
up and running throughout, despite the 17,000 people without power!

The phrase "busy as a beaver" can easily be applied to the cheezy.net
crew! Normally, we are busy with our own lives and projects, but for
some strange reason, we've gotten a bee in our collective bonnet to
get some useful work done on the site. In this vein, we have seriously
started work on the "Movie Rememberator" (or Personal Movie Database).
Don't expect miracles in terms of timing, but we are back doing
real work on the ol' girl!

Well, since we are gearing up to get back into production on this baby,
we felt it prudent to get some sort of ass-coverage going. As of today,
we have a brand-spanking new Terms Of Use
agreement! This is to provide us with a legal security blanket to help us
sleep a little easier in this crazy, litigatory world we live in. It does
not pose a threat to you, dear reader; it merely protects us in case of
some jerk comes in search of our (non-existent) money!

Well, due to our wonderful incompetence, we have lost the "old news"
section. The entire file and its back-up were destroyed by some insanity
that was, in all honesty, partially our fault. However, we cannot excuse
the party whom deserves the lion's share of the blame - that damn hardware!
You see, it turns out that there can be issues when connecting Ultra ATA-66
and ATA-33 drives. We discovered this, and now we have also discovered that
it cost us our old news. ... Know what? It was old news anyway! Who cares?!

you viewers: we are making physical upgrades to the server. This
means that not only is there nothing new for you to read, use, or
download, but that the site will be inaccessable for most of today!

The server is being physically moved this weekend. The site has been
partially moved to another server for the duration. Some services
and files will not be accessable for a few days. Email will also be
down during this time.

A month of other projects (finishing school, getting jobs) has left
CheezyNet a little neglected. We'd like to put up a public apology
here for the lack of ammenities on the site... but then again, we just
